They Don't Call It Gum For Nothing


Another silk disaster. I'll spare you the dead bugs and squishy, smelly cocoons that go with this. I needed to free up one of the wood reeling bobbins, so I put the not quite dry raw silk on this plastic storage bobbin. I did this once before, it worked great. But by the time I was able to wind it back an hour later, it had congealed into a solid mess.
